  1. Cornette’s a great example of someone who was once on the cutting edge of the business becoming an out of date relic.
These days? He’s “old man who yells at clouds.”

    Best Title designs Mount Rushmore

    -NWA/WCW/World Heavyweight Championship “big gold”
So I’m the sort of guy who’s both enough of a NWA/WCW fan and a lover of history to the point where I can trace the lineage of the original World Heavyweight Championship from 1905 through the original NWA to WCW to the WWE’s version.
For so long one of WCW’s biggest selling points was that it held “the” World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship. And the big gold just exemplifies all the majesty that should go along with that.

    -WWF Winged Eagle
The WWF/E likes to change their designs up a lot, but this was the best design to capture the importance of the WWWF/WWF/WWE lineage. It took the eagle design that first showed up with Bruno and made it look grand.

    -RCP Heavyweight Championship
Right Coast Pro is a small indy promotion in Delaware. It’s not much to write home about, but check out their heavyweight belt. It’s beautiful.

    -WCW US Heavyweight Championship
The design was just perfect for the title. The gold made it look prestigious. The American bald eagle was prominently featured. And the map of the US colored up like the American flag wasn’t intrusive.
It just looks so good compared to the WWE and IWGP US Championships. Both of those are so gaudy looking.

    Death Valley

    -ROH World Heavyweight Championship
I just don’t care for the Tap Out inspired ROH logo or the retro design.

    -WWE Divas’ Championship
There was no better symbol for how little WWE thought of women’s wrestling at the time than that tramp stamp belt.

    -WWE Tag Team Championships
The current design. Doesn’t matter if it’s the black and copper version or either the red or blue versions. I just don’t like the random mis mash of Spartan helmets and Aztec detailing.

    -WCW TV Championship
The last version used during the Monday Night Wars. It justs looked so generic. I think the fact that it managed to get the WCW logo wrong contributed to that feeling.
